August

Henry had his PICC line, and we gave him TPN 18 hours a day. This way, we had a few hours where he wasn't attached to anything and we could play.

When he was attached, I would carry a backpack that tethered me and Henry together.
 SUPER BROTHERS!

Allie, Liberty and Kaiya came to visit. We went to Multnomah Falls.

Henry was gaining weight and eating a little bit more. His diarrhea slowed, and he was feeling pretty good.

In middle August, we went up to Seattle to meet the pediatric immunologist.

We brought Sara with us, so she could play with you, while Henry and us went to the doctors.
The doctor had seen Henry's labs, and said that she was expecting to see a kid a lot sicker. She was impressed that Henry looked so good, because his labs were horrible. She ordered a bunch more labs to figure out where his immune system was failing. From what we knew, he wasn't making B cells or T cells. Both sides of his immune system.
As we waited a few weeks to get the results back, Henry ended up in the hospital one more time for a fever.

A toy train fell on his foot, and you helped fix it up with a Band-Aid.

Henry loved pulling the wagon a lot more than riding in it.
For rides, he hopped on the IV pole.

Home again.
