May

The days passed. With each day, Henry's chance of relapse decreased. We were looking forward to our future of our family of four.

Henry still needed labs drawn monthly, and with his labs, he needed an IV medication called pentamadine to help prevent pneumonia. Since he no longer had his port, which gave easy access to give him this drug, we switched to dapsone. Dapsone was a pill, that Henry would take every night. This drug would also help prevent pneumonia.

Each clinic appointment, you would hold Henry's hand during the needle pokes.
